Board of Directors
President |
 |
Panther (on the left), also known as Phil Carmical, is the founder and president of Austin
Duathletes. He originally founded the club as an attempt to make friends in this lonely world. And he really liked the idea that people were
willing to pay to do so. He likes to drink beer, run, ride and give his son Dash late night feedings while watching bad 80's Sci-Fi. He
also has a penchant for writing skits and boring his friends with political debate about the price of oil. When he is not running in a dress, he can often be found keeping vigil
outside his house hoping to avoid a 4th break in this year. |
Vice President |
|
Tim Stansbury became VP of the Austin Duathletes in 2008. He is an avid cyclist and duathlete.
He used to be a vegetarian but recently began eating meat in an attempt to become the World's Strongest Man. Instead of making his
muscles bigger, however, it just made his facial hair grow. He is hoping he can grow an equally impressive mullet for the 2008 season and
make his dream of finally becoming a full fledged redneck a reality. |
Director of Marketing |
 |
Stacy Keese is the person in charge of membership for the Austin Duathletes. She's also the owner and designer of Skeese Greets, Greeting Cards for the Athletically Minded. During her
free time, you can find her helping out at Jack and Adam's Bicycles, or behind her computer creating stuff for Jack and Adam's Bicycles, or on a
race course, not racing, but hauling water, trash or signs for Jack and Adam's Bicycles. Her significant other is Jack, so that could be the reason.
In a former life, she used to run some. Now you can find Stacy in a half mile radius that encompasses her home, her/Panther's office, the bike shop and many
restaurants which she frequents. Her favorite pastime (besides shooting shit with Panther) is hanging out with her two favorite canine companions, Izzie and Violet. |
Director of Sponsorship |
 |
Michelle Hittner, known as MissyChel to some and loved by all, is a registered massage therapist
with a love of beer and sport. Whether it is running on the hike and bike, riding the Veloway with friends or teaching boot camp, Michelle
does it all with a smile (and the knowledge that there is always a cold one waiting for her after her workout). She is also married to a rockstar named Todd but she
doesn't let her fame and fortune go to her head. |
Director of Events |
 |
Brianna Smith is busy planning some great AD Events for this year. When you see this blur go by, think of someone who not only is setting up the Protest and Bizzarro Du's but is also ordering
Koozies. Yes. She is a busy, busy girl! |
Secretary |
 |
Kris "Jostlin' Krissy Blue" Morgan is Secretary of the Austin Duathletes. She is a jetsetter seeing some of the
world's finest and most exciting cities - like the amazing Dallas, TX. She loves shoes and often packs an extra suitcase (or 'baguette' as she calls it) just to
carry her assorted black heels. If you have a question about the different between a slingback and stillhetto, Krissy is your girl. Krissy is a viscious long course competitor, who traveled to Richmond
this year to compete at World's. She also loves naming her car and singing outloud to the radio. Looking for an 80's night Karaoke partner? Krissy just might be your girl! |
